For the final stage of our coding projects this year, students will be creating logos, packaging and songs for their games. they may not have finished making their games, but they can still use their imaginations to consider what their games could be. We will be showing off what we have learned this year about coding on Thursday, June 15. Parents and family members are welcome to come. More details will follow.

Learning to use Scratch
The coding app we will be using on the iPads is Pyonkee, a mobile version of Scratch. We will practice coding with the lessons on this web site so that students can apply these lessons when they make their own games.

We will visit code.org during Computer Science Education week to partcipate in some of the many engaging coding activities that have been planned. I want the students to have an idea of what they can do if they have a simple understanding of how to create a program.
